Max is from Lloydminster, Alberta. Max originally began playing hockey in Kitscoty at a very young age before moving to Lloydminster in his grade 5 year. Max played at the highest of the Lloydminster elite division before signing with the Melfort Mustangs of the SJHL.

Unfortunately, after battling multiple major injuries throughout his midget and junior career Max made the decision to shift to coaching and give back to the community!

Over Max’s first summer with the company, he’s thoroughly enjoyed seeing those who put in the effort, receiving the reward. In combination with the #IHDfam, Max is looking forward to building the next generation hockey player!

Marcus Lam-Peters

Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach

My name is Marcus Lam-Peters and I am very excited to be joining the #IHDfam. Sports and athletics have been a big part of my life for a long time. I enjoyed a playing career in which I competed in multitude of sports these experiences provided me the opportunity, first hand to understand sports training.

At my peak, I had the opportunity to compete nationally as a 100m sprinter and in university I played football as a member of the Bishop's Gaiters. When my playing career was over, I moved to Lloydminster. I began coaching football at Holy Rosary and decided to become a personal trainer so I could train some of the team in the offseason. Seven years later I have been able to work with athletes in a number of different sports (baseball, basketball, boxing, football, hockey and soccer). Combined with my playing experience I have learned a lot about the type of training and support athletes need to become successful.

I have taken many courses to help me become a better coach. The most noteworthy of them being: I graduated from Bishop's University majoring in Sports Studies, I am certified by CanFitPro as Personal Training Specialist and I am currently working on attaining my CSCS from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

The players I am being entrusted with are getting a motivated and dedicated trainer. I will prioritize their development as athletes. I am looking forward to this new chapter with IHD!
